There are many speculations about the 2016 Volkswagen Touran. Since the manufacturer hasn’t disclosed the features yet, those speculations are built up among numerous faithful fans. Exterior and interior design
There will be certain changes in both exterior and interior design.
Volkswagen expands the interior space to the new 2016 Volkswagen Touran and the cabin has a very new folding seat arrangement, so the seat can be dropped and create a flat floor. The new Touran will grow in size, but it will still lose 100 kg thanks to the MQB platform. This model is 12 cm longer than its previous model and the wheelbase has been distended 11 cm. 2016 Volkswagen Touran engine specs
It’s very possible that the engine of this 2016 Volkswagen Touran will increase the overall price. The engine will use much less fuel than the engines on previous versions. It’s assumed that it will be 2,0 – liter TDI diesel engine and it will produce about 150 hp. Another expected engine could be 1,2 -liter TSI petrol with power to deliver about 105 hp. This new model will have better fuel economy than the previous models, since it will be equipped with Volkswagen’s fuel intake program, named Blue Motion. Thanks to this technology, new 2016 Volkswagen Touran will have 61,3 mpg and 121 gm.km CO₂ emission.
Release date and price
2016 Volkswagen Touran should be available to order in the summer and first driven before the end of 2015. The price of this MPV is still unknown, but there is possibility that this new model will cost in the same range as the current model, so we can assume that price tag will be about $ 19,500 to $ 30,500.
